Changes in library services due to COVID-19 Coronavirus

The library

- The library is closed in Kokkola and Ylivieska until 13th of May.

- During this time it is possible to borrow books by self-service on weekdays between 9 am and 3 pm, by calling the janitor for door opening. Janitor's phone number can be found at the campus' door.

- Customer service is available by phone or e-mail on weekdays between 9-15

- Beginning from 14.5. library will be open as self-service on weekdays between 9 am and 3 pm.


Loans and renewals

- For new loans and when renewing loans, the due date will be extended until 7th of September.

- If you cannot return or renew a loan, please contact the library.

- Book transports between Kokkola and Ylivieska begin again from 18.5. onwards.

- Inter-library service is not operational for now.


Return and Fees

- You don't have to return any books to the library before 1st of June.

- Between March 17th and 1st of June, no overdue fees will be charged.

- However, payments accrued before March 17th will not be removed.


Holds

- Reservations cannot be made between March 17th and 14th of May..

- No fee will be charged for unpicked reservations between March 17th and June 1st..

- If you do not need a book you already reserved, please contact the library.


E-resources

- All of the e-resources are available as normal.

- Many publishers and service providers have opened their e-resources for wider use during the epidemic. Follow our social media outlets for more information.
